About this site

This blog is for International Climate Champions to communicate what they are doing and experiencing in their role as Champions, internationally. During their volunteer time, the champions aim to engage other young people on the issues of modern climate change. This site is the place to hear exactly what the 39 champions have been up to and get news from the projects going on in their own countries.

You can keep up with what’s happening from 13 countries around the globe. Right now the champions will be blogging to keep you posted as they prepare for their trip to Kobe in May. While in Kobe they will be attending a Youth Environment Summit and the G8 Environment Ministers’ meeting. They will be seeing and learning about a range of climate initiatives in Japan. You will get news from the event itself, and afterwards once they are back home, about any resulting impact and changes.

This blog is also a place for finding out about excellent initiatives and achievements on the issues of communicating about climate change. Our International Champions link with national champions and we shall be mentioning and supporting their work.

Naturally, we want to hear from you too, so please feel free to make comments on the posts if you want to respond to what has been said. Your contributions are vital to the bigger conversation that we are championing, and to keep this open and broad-minded community. We have some simple ground rules to keep everything on an even keel, so please take a look at these before you begin.

Thank you, and happy reading, thinking and doing.
