 Intercultural Studies: _Intercultural Resource Pack 11/7/2007 The project for the production of the Intercultural Resource Pack aimed at developing Intercultural Competence in the ELT classroom in Latin America was carried out by a team of five ELT professionals from Argentina, Brazil and Venezuela who designed a number of activities each within their own teaching contexts. This pack represents the outcome of a project proposal started at the Hornby Summer School Brazil 2006. It is intended to promote social awareness in Latin American students and teachers by encouraging social and cultural diversity through ethnographic study, which takes account of communication and interaction while it promotes critical cultural awareness by engaging students and teachers in critical readings of culture. We have developed a website and a blog to make the activities of the pack available globally.
