Professional Tip

. Always list singular, countable nouns with an article, so students copy them down in the same way.
. Try to introduce adjective when you teach clothes so students are learning phrases not just individual words

6 Cover words P to Z and test yourself. Say how many (pairs of) each do you own?
I own two pairs of flip-flops - some new, blue ones and some old white ones that I use for the beach

7 Answer the questions.

1. What do you usually wear to work?
2. What do you normally wear at home in the mornings/in the evenings/in bed?
3. What are you wearing now?
4. What did you wear last time you went to a party?
5. How does what you wear change from winter to summer?

icone_listen.gif8 Complete the texts with a/an, the or - (= no article necessary).
My favourite shirt is the green, silk one I got ___ last year in Sao Paulo. I bought it in ___ shopping mall - I think it was ___ Ibirapuera. It wasn't too expensive as I got it during ___ sales. I've had it for over ___ year now and I wear it whenever I go to ___ formal party or ___ important meeting. I love ___ colour and it's made of ___ really soft material. My wife thinks it makes me look ___ smart and sexy.

10 Update your Portfolio. Choose your favourite five items of clothing and say

Record your answer onto your Portfolio cassette.
