    Study Tip

. A primary aim of English Teachers' Portfolio is to help you with listening and pronunciation. That's why the recordings are at natural speed.
. Some exercises may look very easy but are more challenging if you concentrate on copying the pronunciation models.
. The models you hear are Brazilian speakers of English. There are some non-Brazilian accents in the dialogues in Section D. Your own accent may be different. We aren't asking you to change your accent but to try to copy the stress, reductions, rhythm and intonation models, which are virtually the same whatever English you speak.
. To really improve your pronunciation, record yourself saying the sentences and then listen and compare your models with ours to identify areas of difference.

icone_listen.gif 3 Listen, read and cross out the wrong form.
Escute, leia e risque a forma incorreta.
