b) When students ask, "What does (a word) mean?" Most teachers are delighted because students are actually asking in English. However, often what they're really saying is Can you translate it for me? Here are some options:

. Quickly translate it for them and then drill or practice it.
. Mime or draw the word (when easy/appropriate).
