Understanding IELTS is a set of four online courses (MOOCs), which are offered by the British Council on the FutureLearn platform. They can be taken by anyone who wants an IELTS preparatory course.

During our 12-week IELTS online preparation course, you will find out about each section of the IELTS test – Listening, Reading, Writing and Speaking. Each course lasts for three weeks (with a dedication of 3 hours per week).

Understanding IELTS: Writing

Understanding IELTS: Writing focuses on the written part of the English language assessment. The classes will give tips on the types of questions that appear on the exam most often, as well as information on how to write answers that will achieve good results, how to proofread English texts and what to expect on the day of the exam.

Understanding IELTS: Listening

Understanding IELTS: Listening is the ideal course for those who want to succeed in the listening section of IELTS. Participants of the course will receive information on how to elaborate a strategy to get good results on the test and other tips.

Understanding IELTS: Speaking

To assist in the speaking section of IELTS, Understanding IELTS: Speaking will provide tips and information on how to build sentences and how to behave during the exam to get good results.
