About the event 

From 29 September to 4 October, the British Council will host the 2025 edition of ELT Week Brazil. Teachers from across the country will be able to take part in a series of free online activities focused on continuing professional development in English language teaching and learning. 

Building on the success of previous editions, this year’s event brings essential topics for teaching practice in Brazil, focusing on

  1. Sustainability and Global Citizenship 
  2. Digital Education and Technologies in English Language Teaching 
  3. Inclusion, Diversity, and Anti-Racist Education 
  4. Classroom Management and Techniques 
  5. Language Learning and Educational Contexts 
  6. English Teacher Training and Development 

What can you expect from ELT Week 2025? 

  • Practical and theoretical sessions with Brazilian and international experts 
  • Workshops for continuous professional development 
  • Current topics connected to the realities of Brazilian schools 
  • Inclusive training, with accessibility and simultaneous translation into Libras 
  • Certificate of participation for attendees who complete the event evaluation

The virtual sessions will take place at varying times to ensure maximum engagement with the target audience.

In total, over 20 hours of training will be offered, with a certificate awarded to those who complete the event evaluation. For the English sessions, participants can choose to watch the broadcast in the original language or in Portuguese, with subtitles or simultaneous translation. All sessions will be translated into Libras (Brazilian Sign Language).
