Revista Mulheres na Ciência #3

In its third edition, the Women in Science Magazine presents reports, testimonials, and articles that reinforce the urgent need to ensure long and sustainable careers for women in science — a theme highlighted in the cover story.

This issue sheds light on the ongoing challenges of creating space for women scientists through institutional and public policies that recognize the specificities of diverse identities — such as the presence of trans women in technology, featured in one of the reports and prompting important discussions on discrimination.

The magazine also explores the historical imbalance in scientific publishing and citations between men and women, a reflection of the continued underrepresentation of women researchers in scientific output and dissemination.

A key highlight of this edition is its dialogue with current global issues, offering a close look at women's lives during the pandemic and their leadership in climate change debates and environmental advocacy.
