After the success of the 1st edition, ASA – Amplified Sonic Art (Arte Sônica Amplificada, in Portuguese) is returning to continue enhancing the work of women in music and sound.
An initiative of the British Council and Oi Futuro, in partnership with British institutions Lighthouse and Shesaid.so, the program aims to increase the access and performance of women in the sound and music chain.
The activities combine workshops and mentoring to support the development of their careers based on the investigation of the potential of sound, music, and creative technology as well as the development of a support and collaboration community.
The selected participants are challenged to develop new ideas and products, supported by the mentoring of British and Brazilian professionals specialized in the area of sound and music.
Juntas Na Mesma Frequência
The mini webseries “Juntas na Mesma Frequência” (“Together in the same frequency”, in English) will accompany the ASA residents throughout the 7 months of the program, while the 50 women participate in conferences, workshops and masterclasses with Brazilian and British professionals, and develop their projects. In these meetings, trajectories intersect and connect based on the exchange of knowledge and experiences. Turn up the sound and check it out!
