Programa Pontes is the result of an unprecedented partnership between Oi Futuro and the British Council, aimed at offering new alternatives to the development of Brazilian festivals and promoting UK artistic production in Brazil. Drawing on an innovative model, based on institutional collaboration, the programme combines Oi Futuro’s expertise in the management of open call for cultural projects and British Council’s experience in strengthening international partnerships through the insertion of a British presence in the local scene. The festivals were selected as they are an important instrument of access to culture and support to the local creative economy.
