Talk one delves into four key innovations transforming classroom assessment for young learners and teens, equipping teachers with new approaches to evaluate student progress. We’ll begin by exploring alternative assessment methods and formative practices that provide more comprehensive, continuous insights into learner progress.

Talk two explores how different assessment methods can be integrated into education, emphasizing their role in creating a positive learning culture, reducing anxiety, and making learning more playful and meaningful.

Speakers: Hazel Watling and Vanessa Bendetti will host this session.

Hazel has 15 years of experience in education and is currently a Project Lead for the British Council Global Assessment Solutions team. Over the past 11 years, she has worked in various roles at the British Council, including teacher, trainer, and Academic Manager, across multiple countries.

Vanessa has been an English teacher for 27 years and a trainer for 6 years.She holds a degree in International Trade Administration and a specialization in English Language Teaching. The University of Cambridge also certifies her in courses and exams, such as CPE, CELTA, CELT-P, TKT YL, Train the Trainer and Cambridge Speaking Examiner.
